I’m sorry that I criticized Ryan Adams’ new, healthy lifestyle choices. I suppose that we want our heroes to live larger, more full lives than we do: i.e., smoking, drinking, and drugging to excess so we don’t have to.
But I still cannot conceive of a dry, smoke-free, rose-hips-drinking Adams writing this song, ever.
